FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Welcome to Glory Grove Organics’ FAQ page! 🌿 We're thrilled to share our love for luffas and all things natural. Based in beautiful Morgan Hill, California, where we’re lucky enough to enjoy two annual growing seasons, we’re here to answer your most burning questions about our products and practices.
1. What exactly is a luffa (loofah)?
Luffa is a type of gourd (yes, a cousin of squash and zucchini!) that, when matured and dried, transforms into a natural sponge. We use it in bath, body, and cleaning products because of its natural exfoliating and scrubbing properties.
2. Are your luffa products truly organic?
Absolutely! 🌱 All our luffas are organically grown right here in Morgan Hill. We use sustainable practices and never any chemicals—just good soil, water, and California sunshine.
3. How often should I replace my luffa sponge?
For the best hygiene and performance, we recommend replacing your bath luffa every 3-6 weeks depending on how frequently you use it. Don’t throw it away, though—repurpose it! Luffas are amazing for household cleaning, plant pot liners or toppers, fabric painting and other craft projects.
4. Can I compost my used luffa?
Yes! 🌿 Luffas are 100% biodegradable and can be composted. They’ll naturally return to the earth, making them an eco-friendly alternative to synthetic sponges. Do your part....stop using synthetic "luffas" that end up in our land fills.
5. Are luffas edible?
When young (about 6-8 inches long), luffas are tender and delicious! You can cook them like zucchini or squash. Check out cooking with luffa recipes—they might just become your new favorite veggie!
6. Why do your luffas all look different?
Nature loves variety and no two are ever identical! Each one develops its own unique shape and size. Think of them as nature’s fingerprints—perfectly imperfect.
7. Do you ship outside California?
Yes, we ship throughout both contiguous USA states and non-contiguous USA states and territories! As of this writing, we also ship to many international countries as well. 🌎. Please note that duties, taxes or import fees if collected in your country, are not calculated at checkout and that you are responsible to pay them upon delivery to your location. We are working on using DDP labels in the future. Whenever possible, we use eco-friendly, Prop 65 Compliant packaging on all of our shipments to keep your natural products safe and sustainable.
8. How do I care for my luffa sponge?
- Rinse thoroughly after each use.
- Hang it up to dry using the included hanger.
- For a deeper clean, soak it in a solution of vinegar and water once a week.
9. How often should I give my furry friend a luffa treat?
We recommend giving your small pet a luffa treat about 2-3 times a week. These crunchy, high-fiber goodies are fantastic for dental health, mental stimulation and digestion. Our products do not contain any added sugars, preservatives or chemicals and are vegan, cruelty free, wholesome and nutritious with natural vitamins and minerals from the fruits and vegetables grown right here on our family farm. It's important to maintain a well balanced diet for all of your furry friends. Always supervise your pet while they’re enjoying treats to ensure safe chewing. 🐇🐹🐭
10. What kind of juice or puree do you soak the flavored luffas in?
Our luffa treats are soaked in a variety of pure, organically grown fruit and vegetable purees and juices grown on our family farm that change with the seasons! 🍎🥕 Some of the delicious flavors we use include:
- Blackberry Bliss
- Vital Veggie (Carrot with Moringa Powder)
- Green Glow (Kale and Parsley)
- Carrot Crunch
- Pomberry (Pomegranate and Blackberry)
- Persimmon Paradise
- Apple Aura
- Cheerful Cherry
- Grape Glory
Each treat is soaked for 24 hours to absorb maximum flavor and nutrition, then sun-dried for a naturally crunchy texture your furry friend will love! No artificial colors, added sugars, flours, or preservatives—just 100% pure, organically grown vegan goodness. 🐰🍇🍃
11. Can I grow my own luffa?
Absolutely! 🌱 We sell luffa seeds with growing instructions. Remember: luffas love sunshine and need a bit of patience, but they’re incredibly rewarding to grow.
12. Do you offer bulk or wholesale options?
